Recording Day 2: Embracing Growth and support

21 August 2024

Another day in the studio has brought a lot of reflection and growth. I can't help but marvel at how far I've come over these past few months. A couple of years ago, my anxiety would have held me back from performing, especially in front of other talented artists. Now, I'm embracing my identity as an artist with newfound confidence.

One key lesson I've learned is that success in the industry doesn't define artistry. Instead, it's the journey and the wonderful people you meet along the way that truly matter. I'm incredibly grateful for Alicia and Josh, who have been integral to my project. Alicia, as my session pianist, took my demos and crafted beautiful accompaniments based on my chord progressions. Her touch has added so much movement and depth to my songs. With her role almost coming to an end, I'm cherishing every moment of this creative collaboration.

Josh, a talented music production student, has been invaluable in recording my vocals and the live piano - no easy feat! We have one more day left together as a trio, and then a final session where Josh and I will focus on adding some final touches to the recordings.

The support and professionalism from Alicia and Josh have made this journey smoother and more enjoyable. The thought of pursuing dreams in such a competitive world can be overwhelming, but having the right team makes all the difference. It's clear that having the right people in your corner is crucial for growth and success.

As we wrap up these sessions, I'm more confident than ever and eager to see where this journey leads.

Until next time, keep the music alive and buzzing!
